Continuar a ler em Economic history finding of the day Free exchange Economist.com: "It is commonly assumed that European living standards prior to the industrial revolution were quite stagnant, for centuries, if not millenia. New research from Jonathan Hersh and Hans-Joachim Voth suggests that this is misleading, and that when one takes into account the welfare gains from newly introduced products, like coffee and tea, standards improved materially in the 18th and early 19th century"
