Daqui retira-se - retiro eu - que o discurso político em Portugal, todo ele, não é retórico. Note-se que em termos populares retórico significa: "Que fala muito e bem, mas superficialmente" (Dicionário Priberam da Língua Portuguesa). Eu acrescentaria acima ao usar a lógica, "e a informação".
O artigo donde se tirou a citação não tem nada a ver com a política, mas é interessante.
