Do mérito de estar na Zona Euro

Já se referiu o assunto neste blogue: Portugal não estivesse no Euro, encontrar-se-ia numa situação muito mais difícil do que a vivida neste momento (ver notas sob as etiquetas europa, conjuntura económica...). A prova passa também pelas reacções dos países europeus eurocépticos face à conjuntura:

• FT.com / Europe - Danish PM seeks backing for euro referendum: "Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Danish premier, sought political support on Tuesday for a referendum on adopting the European single currency, after the central bank revealed that it has used almost a fifth of its reserves last month to defend the krone’s peg to the euro."

• Iceland: The EU is the future vox - Research-based policy analysis and commentary from leading economists: "Iceland is undergoing a traumatic financial crisis. This column argues that the main anchor for its recovery strategy should be EU membership and entry into the euro area."
