Vejam este artigo da The Nation: Transforming the Liberal Checklist. Tudo roda à volta do que a articulista considera ser os dois modos de fazer política (os dois são necessários e implicam-se): transactional politics e transformational politics (tradução possível: políticas de transacção e políticas de transformação). O artigo tem como objectivo a situação norte-americana (as actuações dos partidos democrata e republicano) - que ilustra bem, na sua evolução, nas últimas décadas, as diferenças entre essas duas maneiras de fazer política - mas aquilo que se diz a-propósito destes conceitos, tem aplicação em todo o lado.
Reflictam nos exemplos dados e reapreciem a política feita no país e na região, à luz do que aqui se diz - a minha opinião é de que em Portugal, a política desistiu, de todo, de ser de transformação (o conteúdo de algumas notas deste blogue vão nesse sentido). A questão é a de saber porquê.
